First Manga/Anime
My younger brother was never really that intrested in manga or anime, but recently i gave my brother my copy of Bobobo-Bobo-Bobo and now he won't stop reading it. He is about the same age as i was when i first started becoming a big manga/anime fan and it reminded me of the days in middle school where i would go to Borders and read manga for hours at a time.
so i was wondering OU,
1.What was the first manga/anime that u were intrested in?
2.why you liked it?
3.Your current thoughts about the manga/anime that u liked
In third grade i BOUGHT and read copies of Dragon Ball Z, Onepiece, and Rurouni Kenshin.
and before that i watched ALOT of studio Ghibli films, sailor moon, and Pokemon (Who didnt watch pokemon???)
i read dbz, onepiece, and kenshin because it was actiony, easy to understand, and funny at times.
my grandmother introduced me to pokemon and Totoro and i liked sailor moon cause it was the only good cartoon on at around 6am before pre-school... though the only thing i remember form sailor moon is the girl's crazy hair and the names of the characters. (Tuxedo Mask, Sailor [Insert Planet Name Here])
I still think that onepiece and rurouni kenshin are great mangas (i still read onepiece), but now i see that most of DBZ was repetitive scenes of goku getting stronger to fight an EVEN STRONGER enemy.
and with the anime, i have no regrets!!!! my childhood was built around pokemon and the fantasy lands that were created in the japanese films of studio ghibli.

I was a ghibli child, no doubt.
Sailor moon and Pokemon were my first two, I think. Beyblade is pretty up there too. So is DBZ.
If you come to my house, if you look you can see about 50+ tapes of DBZ that I bought. xD
Not a regret in my mind.

Yup, Sailor Moon is as far back as I can remember. I watched it before preschool too! But I distinctly remember my very first game thing, a Gameboy Color, clear white, with a Mario game I can't even remember the name of. It's one of those famous ones.
And my first console was an N64, my parents kind of bought it for me out of the blue. Pokemon Stadium!! That's what really started my love of video games.
I kind of don't watch too much anime anymore, and I really never read manga. My sisters had a ton of Kenshin and Violinist of Hameln, and they bought Kenshin VHS, which were cool. But looking back on it, I was like six and I was watching this violent, bloody, and cuss-filled show with English subtitles to make sure I caught every cuss.
...I think that explains a lot..

Re: First Manga/Anime
My first manga I read... well looked at and guessed what it said was the very first one piece book in japanese~ Then I bought the english versions and I started buying and updating the series in my room~ I then got into Bleach and I have a large collection of the books in my room~ Cause I support the writers! XD
My first anime were, rurouni kenshin, the entire first 3 or 5 series and Evangelion~ I also watched a lot of Pokemon~ DBZ~ a little sailor moon~ Tenchi Muyo~ the first couple capters of Trigun~ Yu Gi Oh!~ and thats all i really can remember~
I still am a dedicated reader of one piece and bleach to this day~
