PS3 or XBOX 360

Hey Guys, I was wondering what kind of gaming console should i get? A PS3 or a XBOX 360?

Please help to choose which one i should get

Hey Marc i thought i had given you enough info? Or is it you need more opinions to help come to a verdict (I understand since it is a big choice to make).

I'd vote for you to get a PS3

Reasons:
1. You could play online games with me XD
2. You could help bring other games in and provide an extra controller to boot.
3. Whenever Kingdom Hearts 3 begins to be developed and when it is released, I'm 99% sure it will be either on the PS3 or 1% sure on PS2
4. Free online gaming which in the long run will serve you well Marc
5. It's cool?

Or you could go with 360 either way is fine. Just wanted to put my reasons for choosing a PS3 out there.
Though a 360 is also a very appealing choice. I'm sure you'll make a good decision in the end.

I would personally go for a 360 just because i prefer the fps games on the 360

the main turn off of the 360 is the faulty hardware that microsoft still hasn't fixed (bastards)
the PS3 i've heard some annoying things about charging controllers, other attachments, and the online interface.

im not the best to ask. I'd say just buy a good PC, or make one yourself. it's not that hard and a good PC will serve you for years to come (as opposed to a console that will be outdated in a few years)
well there is certainly more hype for the 360 despite it's failures

I'd say 360. I hate the 360, but the PS3 is turning out more useless than Obama's Nobel.

I own a PS3 and don't know too much about the 360, but I still say PS3 is a good bet. It plays dvds and has a web browser, you can buy some games and stuff on their store right off your PS3 as well as get free demos of games, and all of the models can play PSX games, and I think one or two models can play PS2 games as well.
The controller does unplug, but when it runs out it has a really short cord that's kind of inconvenient to have plugged in, especially if your PS3 is up above your tv like mine, and it only charges when the PS3 is on.
But you should go do some research on the 360 as well, since nobody here seems to know too much about it.

Plus! PS3 has blueray and HD capabilities!

Which makes MGS4 really sexy.

but playing MGS4 online is supposedly a bitch

i like the xbox better (i like the PS3 trophies though)
xbox live has games, some are free
xbox supports netflix too i believe\
controller contains a battery back for quick switching and charging
most of my friends have 360's so i know about them somewhat
still the red ring of death is a turn off

a question for marc: what kind of games to you like to play?
(the PS3 after all is severely lacking in the games department period)
